Our goal is to increase student giving to Illinois. We want students to understand that tuition doesn't pay for everything that they enjoy on campus. The generous gifts from alumni and friends add to our experience. It takes all of us working together to make an impact. We encourage students to give to Illinois out of appreciation for those gifts and passion for their Alma Mater.

You LOVE Illinois. It was clear from the response to "I Love Illinois" Week that students LOVE the campus. We hope that your feelings for Illinois will continue to grow and you will consider taking the next step...making a gift. You can support an area of campus that you LOVE or a campus project through the 1867 Society Fund. During Spring Philanthropy Week, April 8-12, you'll have the chance to see how gifts to the Fund have been used in the past and the projects that could receive funding this year. Join us on the Quad each day. We'll have information and FREE lemonade.
* Monday, April 8 from 12-2 p.m.: Featured Project: Illini Service Dogs
* Tuesday, April 9 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Featured Project: Undergraduate Library
* Wednesday, April 10 from 12-2 p.m.: Featured Project: Campus Recreation: Programs for Students with Disabilities
* Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Meet student donors and find out they give to Illinois; If you are a student donor who gave $18.67 or more, pick up a free tassel.
If you are a current undergraduate, graduate or professional student who makes a gift anywhere on campus this academic year you will automatically become a member of the 1867 Society.
Size Doesn't Matter! All gifts make a difference to students, faculty and programs on campus. Small gifts combined with others make an impact. In fact, last fiscal year combined giving by donors who gave gifts of $100 or less provided more than 1.8 million dollars to campus.
Club 1867 is a group of organizations that are recognized for their philanthropic efforts. The 1867 Society strives to promote student philanthropy and members of Club 1867 have shown their commitment to this initiative as well. Organizations in Club 1867 have submitted a proposal for the 1867 Society Fund in addition to donating a minimum of $20 to the 1867 Society Fund as an organization. The goal of Club 1867 is to foster a sense of philanthropy among student organizations on campus.
